DULUTH, Minn. - Freshman William Wrenn (Anchorage, Alaska) is a game-time decision tonight due to an upper body injury. If Wrenn is unable to play, senior Cody Brookwell (Calgary, Alberta) gets the start on the blueline vs. Minnesota Duluth.
DU will also be without star defenseman Patrick Wiercioch (Maple Ridge, British Columbia), who left this morning to attend the Team Canada Selection Camp for the World Junior championship. Paul Phillips (Darien, Ill.) will get the start in place of Wiercioch. Shawn Ostrow (Calgary, Alberta) replaces Luke Salazar (Thornton) at forward for DU, who has posted a 6-2 road record.
Tyler Ruegsegger (Lakewood) became the 91st member of the Pioneer Century Club for 100-point scorers last night. Ruegsegger tallied the second assist on Kyle Ostrow's (Calgary, Alberta) game-winning goal in the third period.
DU's lines for tonight will be:
Forwards:
Matt Glasser - Brian Gifford - Nate Dewhurst
Shawn Ostrow - Drew Shore - Chris Knowlton
Rhett Rakhshani - Jesse Martin - Anthony Maiani
Kyle Ostrow - Tyler Ruegsegger - Joe Colborne
Defensemen:
Matt Donovan - Chris Nutini
Paul Phillips - John Lee
John Ryder - William Wrenn or Cody Brookwell
and Marc Cheverie in net.
DU is 7-1-1 against ranked opponents. The Pioneers are unbeaten in their last three games at 2-0-1 and are gunning for their second WCHA road sweep of the season.
