DENVER - Long-time University of Denver Athletics supporter and DU Board of Trustee member, Joy Burns was honored during the annual Divisional Address on Wednesday morning in the Gold Club of the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness for her commitment to the Pioneers' sports programs and the University throughout the last 30 years.

Burns received a DU hockey jersey with her name on the back, as well as a specially made DU chair.

Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Recreation and Ritchie Center Operations Peg Bradley-Doppes addressed the DU Athletics and Recreation staff on the progress of the strategic plan and recognized staff members for their commitment to the department and performance over the last year.

Also recognized was Assistant Vice Chancellor for Internal Operations Stu Halsall for his dedication and commitment toward the completion of the new University of Denver Soccer Stadium and Strength and Conditioning Facility.
