Laramie, Wyo. - The University of Denver women's tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 62 Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo., on Friday.
The loss snapped a three-match winning streak for Denver (8-4). Wyoming improves to 6-4 with the win.
The Crimson and Gold got singles points from Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and Caroline Schnell (Greenwood Village, Colo.). Bergner defeated Wyoming's Veronica Popovici 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 and Schnell took down Alexandra Kovacs 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3.
The Pioneers return home to host Wichita State on Sunday, March 4 at CAC-Monaco.
