NORMAN, Okla. - Recent University of Denver men's golf graduate Troy Anderson (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, the Golf Coaches Association of American announced Wednesday.
Anderson was one of 146 NCAA Division I golfers and one of 238 golfers across all NCAA divisions and NAIA.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically, competed in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in at least 70 percent of the team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 76 and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. An eligible student-athlete must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
