DENVER - The University of Denver men's tennis team won three singles matches vs. Michigan and took a pair of doubles matches vs. Texas during the second day of competition at the Key Biscayne Invitational at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park.

The Pioneers opened the day by claiming two of three doubles matches from Texas, including Enej Bonin (Koper Slovenia) and Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) defeating No. 41 Alex Hilliard and Andrew Korinek 8-7Fabio Biasion (Velbert, Germany) and Henry Craig also handled Texas' No. 40 nationally-ranked tandem of Sudanwa Sitaram and Daniel Whitehead by an identical 8-7 count.

Denver followed by claiming three of seven singles matches with Michigan, including Vorkefeld defeating the Wolverines' No. 48 ranked Vlad Stefan 6-2, 7-6 (5).  Craig out-lasted Alex Petrone in three sets and a tie-breaker 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (5) and Manley defeated Justin Rossi 8-6.

Tuesday is the final day of competition and will see the Pioneers take on Michigan in doubles at 10:15 a.m. (ET) and LSU in singles at 11:15 a.m. (ET).

The event will crown an individual champion as no team scoring will be used. Each player will be assigned points per win according to his position in singles and doubles. The player with the most points at the end of the weekend will be named the overall winner.

Alex Buzzi (U-M) def. Max Krammer (Denver), 6-2, 6-4

Luke Manley (Denver) def. Justin Rossi (U-M), 8-6

Doubles
