The University of Denver will once again be hosting a series of the Hoyt Brawner Memorial 3x3 Basketball Tournaments, which will give a selected team a chance to compete in a USA Basketball 3x3 National Tournament.

With the possibility of 3x3 basketball becoming an Olympic sport in 2016 this is a great opportunity for participants to come out and show their skills and have the chance to compete at a world level.

Last year, University of Denver men's basketball assistant coach A.J. Kuhle, former Pioneers Nate Rohnert and Nigel Peter-Denman, and former Air Force player Joel Gerlach made up Team USA-DU, which won the USA Basketball 3x3 qualification tournament at the Ritchie Center.

They competed and lost to the eventual champions, who represented the USA at the World Championships in Athens, Greece.

The winning team from each of the qualifier tournaments will be invited to the championship tournament on June 9 at the Ritchie Center.
