Denver - The University of Denver men's tennis fell to No. 7 Pepperdine 7-0 during the first day of the ITA National Indoor Kickoff in Malibu, Calif.

In singles play, No. 47 Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) fell to ITA Nationally-ranked No. 6 Sebastian Fanselow 6-1, 6-3. Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) lost to Alex Sarkissian 6-3, 6-1, Henry Craig fell to Finn Tearney 6-2, 6-4, Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) battled Francis Alcantara, but fell 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5), Pepperdine's Mousheg Hovhannisyan defeated Alex Clinkenbeard (Loveland, Colo.) 6-3, 6-2 and Luke Manley (Edmonton, Alberta) dropped his match to David Sofaer 6-1, 6-2.

The Pioneers dropped two of the three doubles contests. Bonin and Vorkefeld's doubles match was left unfinished at 5-5.

The Pioneers will look to regroup tomorrow when they battle Drake at 10 a.m. In Malibu.
