Denver - The University of Denver men's tennis team defeated Air Force 7-0 at the Denver Country Club on Friday.
No. 47 Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) defeated Lance Wilhelm 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in No. 1 Singles play. Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win over Grant Taylor, Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) beat Steven Young 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, Henry Craig claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Alex Grubbs, Alex Clinkenbeard (Loveland, Colo.) beat Andy Jackson 6-2, 6-4 and Luke Manley (Edmonton, Alberta) dropped Jack McCullers 6-3, 6-1 for Denver to sweep Air Force in singles play.
In Doubles, the Pioneers won two of three flights. Bonin and Krammer defeated Wilhelm and Taylor 8-6 and Vorkefeld and Craig beat Grubbs and McCullers 8-6.
The Pioneers next match is Friday, Feb. 15 at Utah. The match starts at 5 p.m. (MT).
