Denver, Colo. - The University of Denver men's tennis team fell to No. 40 Nebraska, 4-1 at Gates Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Pioneers fell behind 1-0 early, falling in two of three doubles matches.

In singles play, the Pioneers were without senior Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) and junior Alex Clinkenbeard. Both have been sidelined by injuries. The Pioneers were forced to default No. 5 and No. 6 singles because of the injuries. Senior Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappeln, Germany) and freshman Henry Craig's matches were not finished. Senior Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) defeated Nebraska's Dusty Boyer 6-2, 6-0 to pick up the Pioneers only point of the day.

"Under the circumstance that we are in with our health, the boys did a good job competing." said Head Coach Danny Westerman. "We look forward to next weekend with a couple more good home matches vs Texas Tech and Arizona.""

The Pioneers next match is on Mar. 8 against Texas Tech. The match will take place at Gates Tennis Center at 12 p.m. (MT).
