Denver, Colo.- The University of Denver women's tennis team is ranked No. 55 in the latest ITA poll, which was released Tuesday. North Carolina is ranked No. 1, Duke is No. 2 and UCLA is No. 3.
The Pioneers defeated No. 60 Wyoming and No. 68 Princeton to improve their record to 6-2. Pioneer senior Steffi Rath (Hocht, Austria) went 4-0 over the weekend with two doubles wins with partner Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and two No. 6 singles victories.
The Pioneers hit the road next weekend to face BYU and Oregon. The Pioneers take on BYU Saturday, Mar. 9 at 2 p.m. (MT) and Oregon Sunday, Mar. 10 at 9:30 a.m. (MT).
