Denver, Colo. - University of Denver women's tennis seniors Emma Isberg (Tyreso, Sweden) and Steffi Rath (Hocht, Austria) each earned Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors over the past two weeks. Conference officials named Isberg as player of the week on Feb. 25 and Rath for the week of Mar. 4.


Both players are coming off of a successful weekend. Rath went 4-0 over the weekend with two doubles wins with partner Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and two singles victories in No. 6 singles. Isberg has won her last seven singles matches, including a 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 win against Wyoming's Alexandra Kovacs and a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Princeton's Katherine Flanigan this past weekend.


The Pioneers travel to Eugene, Ore. This weekend to face BYU and Oregon. The Pioneers take on BYU Saturday, Mar. 9 at 2 p.m. (MT) and Oregon Sunday, Mar. 10 at 9:30 a.m. (MT).
