DENVER- The University of Denver women's tennis team is ranked No. 57 in the latest ITA poll, which was released Tuesday, March 12. North Carolina is ranked No. 1, followed by Duke at No. 2 and Texas A&M is No. 3.
The Pioneers defeated BYU 6-1 on Friday, March 8, but fell to Oregon 5-2 on Saturday, March 10. Pioneer senior Steffi Rath (Hocht, Austria) was named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second consecutive time after winning both of her doubles and singles matches over the weekend. Rath's singles victories improved her singles win streak to six straight.
The Pioneers have the weekend off before traveling to University of Texas-Arlington on Thursday, March 21.
