DENVER- University of Denver men’s tennis senior Fabio Biasion (Velbert, Germany) has been named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) men’s tennis player of the week, conference officials announced Monday.

Biasion, earned his second singles victory on Saturday after returning from injury on February, 22.  Biasion defeated UC Santa Barbara’s Alexander Gryaznov, 6-2, 6-1 to help the Pioneers pick up the 4-3 victory. In doubles, Biasion teamed with redshirt senior Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) in the No. 2 spot to earn the  9-8 (3) win over UCSB’s Benjamin Recknagel and Axel Bouillin.

Biasion and the Pioneers return to the court Friday, April 5 to face Seattle. The match starts at 12 p.m. (MT) at Gates Tennis Center.
