Pioneers Final Regular Season Match Stopped at 3-3 Due to Weather

MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Denver men's tennis team ended its match against Idaho in a 3-3 draw. Play was suspended because of inclement weather. The Pioneers record remains 9-11 overall and 5-0 in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play.

The Pioneers trailed 1-0 going into singles play after falling in two of three doubles matches.

In singles, freshman Henry Craig (Murrieta, Calif.) defeated Idaho's Cristobal Ramos Salazar 6-1, 7-6 in the No. 4 spot. Redshirt senior Max Krammer (Perchtoldsdorf, Austria) claimed a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Jose Bendeck in No. 3 singles. Senior and ITA-ranked No. 61 Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) lead 3-1 over Dmitry Perevoshchikov, whom was forced to retire. Play was moved indoors, but the dual was no completed.

The Pioneers go into the WAC Tournament as the No. 1 seeded team. They face the winner of No. 4 New Mexico State and No. 5 Utah State on Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m. (MT) from Gate Tennis Center.
