Bonin Qualifies for NCAA Menís Singles Tournament

DENVER - University of Denver Men’s Tennis standout and ITA-ranked No. 52 Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) qualified for the NCAA Men’s Singles Championship Tournament, officials announced Wednesday.

The singles tournament will take place in Urbana, Ill. from Wednesday, May 22 until Monday, May 27.

Bonin and the Pioneers qualified for the 2013 NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament after defeating Idaho 4-0 for the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championship. Bonin finished the WAC Championship Tournament with a 2-0 singles record, improving his 2012-13 record to 22-7.

The Pioneers travel to Gainesville, Fla. to battle No. 15 Florida in NCAA Regional competition, which takes place on May 10.
