Enej Bonin to Serve Up Start to NCAA Singles Play Wednesday

DENVER – University of Denver senior Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia) will open play at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Singles Championship on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. (MT) against Duke’s Henrique Cunha at the Atkins Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Illinois.

Bonin is currently ranked No. 59 overall in the latest ITA rankings and boasts a 23-7 overall mark in singles play which includes a 13-2 mark in dual matches and an identical 13-2 record when playing in the No. 1 singles flight.

Duke’s Cunha enters Wednesday’s meeting vs. Bonin as the tournament’s No. 8 overall seed and was most recently ranked as the ninth-best singles player nationally according to ITA.

Fans can watch and follow the matches via the 2013 NCAA Tennis Championship Central website.  Fans can access live video streams and statistical feeds for all matches.  

If Bonin advances, he will face the winner of the match between UCLA’s Adrien Puget and Illinois’ Jared Hiltzik on Thursday, May 22 at a time TBA.
