DENVER – The No. 57 ranked University of Denver men’s tennis team will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to face No. 5 ranked Ohio State as well as Louisville (No. 47) or Middle Tennessee State (No. 52) at the ITA Kick-Off starting Saturday.

“We are looking forward to opening our season at Ohio State,” DU head coach Danny Westerman said. “Our team worked very hard in the fall and the last few weeks of January and I cannot wait to finally compete. The goal of every match is to play to our abilities, and if we do that, we will definitely have a great opportunity to win.”

The Denver men last competed at the Key Biscayne Invitational Jan. 5-7 where they faced players from No. 20 University of Texas, No. 24 Louisiana State University and No. 26 University of Michigan. Sophomore No. 86 ranked Henry Craig (Murrieta, Calif.) came away the victor of the tournament after posting a 3-0 singles record.

In Ohio, Denver will compete against Ohio State on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. MT. Matches continue into Sunday with the consolation match being played at 8 a.m. and the qualifier match at 11 a.m.
