ESPN to Nationally Televise the Denver Menís Basketball Game at Magness Arena on Feb. 4

DENVER - The University of Denver and Middle Tennessee men's basketball game on Feb. 4 has been chosen as ESPN's Sun Belt Conference Wildcard game and will be televised live on ESPN or ESPN2, the network announced today. The game time has been changed to 2 p.m. MT from the originally scheduled 4 p.m. MT tip.

This is the first time ESPN will broadcast a DU men's basketball game from Magness Arena.

"This is a nice opportunity for our team and the University of Denver to get national exposure," head coach Joe Scott said. "Both our team and Middle Tennessee have been playing well this year, and it should be an exciting game. We look forward to welcoming ESPN to Magness Arena."

The Pioneers are 13-3 overall - the best start in school history - and 3-1 in the SBC this season. Denver is ranked No. 17 in the Mid-Major Top 25, which also features the No. 7 Blue Raiders, which are 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the SBC.

The DU women's game against Middle Tennessee on Feb. 4 originally schedule for 1 p.m. MT has been changed to 4:30 p.m. MT, as the second half of a doubleheader with the men.
