FSN Rocky Mountain Announces 07-08 DU Hockey Telecast Schedule

DENVER – Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain will telecast 14 regular season University of Denver hockey games live, it was announced today by FSN Rocky Mountain Vice President and General Manager Tim Griggs. It is the seventh consecutive year FSN has telecast DU hockey games and 15th overall.

FSN Rocky Mountain’s first telecast is Sun., Nov. 4 at 1:00 p.m. MT when the Pioneers travel to play at Minnesota. That telecast will be produced by FSN Northwest. The Pioneers’ television schedule includes the championship game of the Wells Fargo Denver Cup Sat., Dec. 29 at 7:00 p.m. MT and a stop at Air Force Academy, Fri., Jan. 18 at 7:00 p.m. MT. In all, 12 WCHA games will be aired with three of those coming against two-time defending WCHA champions Minnesota.

Tim Neverett returns for his third season calling play-by-play for Denver hockey telecasts, working alongside former University of Denver forward Charlie Host who will serve as game analyst. Neverett, a 23-year veteran of sports broadcasting, worked as an analyst for DU telecasts prior to assuming the play-by-play role for the 2005 season. In addition to hockey, he calls play-by-play for FSN’s game coverage of the Colorado Crush. Host played for DU from 1993-97, playing his final two years under DU coach George Gwozdecky. Host had served as game analyst for the Pioneers’ radio network for five seasons prior to joining FSN in 2005.
