2006-07: Played in all 40 games • scored 36 points on 10 goals and 26 assists • committed 19 penalties for 38 minutes • led team in assists and finished third in scoring • tied for fourth among WCHA freshmen in scoring with 25 points in league games • ranked sixth among WCHA freshmen in scoring in all games • tied for team lead with 12 multi-point games • netted first career point with an assist in 3-2 win over Colgate (10/7) • recorded first career goal in 4-2 win at Minnesota Duluth (10/28) • scored first career game-winning goal and first career three-point effort in 4-3 overtime win at Wisconsin (10/11) • named Red Baron WCHA Rookie of the Week for Nov. 13-19 and co-Rookie of the Week for Jan. 2-8 • earned Wells Fargo Denver Cup MVP and All-Tournament honors after netting three assists in two DU wins • recorded a pair of two-goal games against Minnesota Duluth • added a career-high three assists in 5-5 overtime tie at Colorado College (3/3) • named to the INCH Preseason All-Rookie Team • finished the season with a +4 plus/minus rating • longest point streak: six games (Dec. 9-Jan. 5).

Before Denver: Played the last two seasons for the United States National Team Developmental Program (USNTDP) in Ann Arbor, Mich. • scored 49 points on 24 goals and 25 assists in 59 games for the Under-18 Team during the 2005-06 season • tallied the game-tying score in Team USA's 3-1 win over Finland in the gold medal game of the 2006 IIHF World Under-18 Championships • scored 43 points on 19 goals and 24 assists in 63 games as an assistant captain for the Under-17 Team in 2004-05 • helped Team USA to the Four Nations Cup title with one goal and three assists • selected by the New York Islanders in fourth round (100th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Personal: Son of Steve and Joan Rakhshani • brother of Shaun (26) • uncle Vic Rakhshani played tight end for the USC football team • graduated with the class of 2006 from the American School of Correspondence (Lansing, Ill.) • chose Denver for the hockey team, the school, the amazing people and the campus • management major • goals are to play professional hockey, to be a successful person and to raise a great family • enjoys surfing, golfing, camping, going to the beach and watching movies • born March 6, 1988.
