2008: Earned All-MPSF Honorable Mention • named Academic All-MPSF started all 19 games for DU • collected eight points on two goals and four assists.

 

2007: Played in 17 games with nine starts • tallied five points on two goals and one assist • scored two goals, including the game-winner, in 2-1 overtime win over San Jose State on Oct. 29 • named the MPSF Player of the Week for Oct. 30 • named the team’s John Byrden Award recipient.

 

High School: Played soccer for Broomfield High School where he was named an NSCAA All-American as a junior and senior • All-Colorado team as a junior and senior • All-State selection as a sophomore, junior and senior • team won the Colorado state championship in 2006 • named MVP of his high school team as a sophomore, junior and senior.

 

Club: Won the State Cup championship as team captain of the Colorado Rush from 2003-07 • named 2005 State Cup most valuable player • won the Disney championships in 2004 and 2005 • member of the Olympic Development Program regional and state teams from 2003-06 • made the national pool in 2003 • named an adidas All-Star in 2003 • traveled to Germany as part of the Regional team in 2005.

 

Personal: Born Jan. 3, 1989 in Boulder, Colo. • son of Jim and Marlene Aweida • brother of Jason and Jamie • enjoys golf, swimming, camping, traveling, coaching and snowboarding • taught English to children in Argentina • worked with TOPSoccer, coaching young athletes with disabilities • named NSCAA Academic All-American First Team in 2007 • chose DU because of the great business school, Division I soccer and location • plans to major in general business and Spanish.
