2009: Appeared in 13 games, making two starts • scored 14 points on 10 goals and four assists • placed 33 out of 58 shots on goal • secured 13 ground balls and caused one turnover • tallied three points on two goals and an assist against Quinnipiac (4/4) • had two goals against Sacred Heart (2/28) • recorded four multiple-point games • scooped up four ground balls versus Sacred Heart (2/28).

 

2008: All-GWLL Second Team selection • played in all 17 games with 16 starts • Denver’s second leading scorer with 25 goals and 38 points • tied for second on the team with 13 assists • placed 67 of 101 shots on goal for a .663 shots on goal percentage • led team with three game-winning goals against Harvard (3/29), Quinnipiac (4/11) and Bellarmine (4/13) • also netted a man-up goal against Bellarmine (4/13) • had 19 groundballs and two caused turnovers • tallied a game-high five goals against Colgate (2/16) • recorded three hat tricks • had 10 multi-point games, including a game-high six points against Bellarmine (4/13) • tied for first in GWLL game-winning goals (3).

 

Before Denver: Transferred to Denver from Butler University after being the team’s leading scorer in 2006 and a two-time member of the All-Great Western Lacrosse League team • honored as a two-time league all-star while playing for the Surrey Stickmen in the British Columbia Junior “A” league • selected as the B.C. Junior “A” league rookie of the year in 2004 • in 2003, played on the South Fraser Warriors under-17 provincial champions and was named tournament most valuable player.

 

Personal: Born January 30, 1985, in Surrey, British Columbia • son of Neil and Brenda Smith • has one brother, Craig • was a 2007 assistant coach for the South Fraser Warriors under-13 team • chose Denver because it was the best combination of athletics and academics • enjoys outdoor activities • finance major.
