DENVER - Sophomore midfielder Lauren Ciccomascolo (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) earned the 2010 season's first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week honors, the MPSF announced today.

In Denver's season opener on Jan. 29, Ciccomascolo scored four goals, while adding two assists and a groundball, to help the Pioneers beat St. Mary's 18-5.

Last year in her first season with Denver, Ciccomascolo recorded 10 goals and 10 assists.

The Pioneers enjoy a week off before hitting the road to take on Duke on Feb. 12 and North Carolina on Feb. 14. The Blue Devils were edged in overtime during the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals, while the Tar Heels fell in the NCAA championship game.
