Devon Wills was promoted to assistant coach of the Pioneers in June 2010 after serving one year as a volunteer assistant coach. Wills moved back to Denver in October 2008 after two years spent coaching at her alma-mater, Dartmouth, where she served as defense and recruiting coordinator. While at Dartmouth, Wills founded the Dartmouth Winter Lacrosse Camp. Wills also has been a co-director of the Classic Elite Lacrosse Camps.

In June 2009, Wills helped lead the United States National Team to a championship at the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup in Prague, Czech Republic. Wills was named Player of the Match following the United States' 8-7 victory over Australia in the final game. Wills was also honored with the Women's Lacrosse Award from the Sportswomen of Colorado for the second time, also winning the award in 2006. Previously, Wills competed for the U.S. National Team and the 2008 Prague Touring Team.

During her time playing for Dartmouth from 2003-06, Wills was a three-time All-American and four-time All-Ivy League performer. In 2006, Wills led the NCAA in goals against average while leading the Big Green to the NCAA championship game. In 2003 Wills was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.

Wills grew up in Denver. She attended high school at Colorado Academy, graduating in 2002.
