2007-08: Played in all 11 tournaments, finishing the season with the team’s second best scoring average (74.26), and earning two wins • earned her first career win at the Topy Cup of Japan with a final score of 214 • won the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown with 208, the lowest 54-hole score in school history • named Player of the Week by Golf World for that performance • posted a then-school record round-low of 65 at the Topy Cup of Japan, a round that was tied later in the season by Stephanie Sherlock • named All-Sun Belt Conference for the third consecutive season • shot three rounds in the 60’s on the season • shot nine rounds at par or better • finished tied for fourth at the Sun Belt Conference tournament, with a round-low of 70 • had DU’s second-best score at the NCAA Championships, shooting rounds of 73-72-79-75 – 299 to finish tied for 28th • recorded five top-10 finishes in entire season, tied with Sherlock for tops on the team • named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
2006-07: Played in every tournament and finished third on the team with a scoring average of 724.82 • career low finish came in DU’s third tournament of the spring, where she shot 71-70-70 – 211 (5-under par) to finish in a tie for second place with a career-low 54-hole score • one of three top-five finishers for the Pioneers at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, shot 75-78-71 – 224 and finished alone in fourth place • earned an automatic nod to the All-Sun Belt Women’s team, her second All-SBC honor • recorded six top-10 finishes and placed in the top-five three times • had 29 of her 34 rounds count towards team score, including 22 of 23 in the spring • shot her career-low 18-hole score of 68 in the final round of the the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Golf Club in the fall • third on the team with eight rounds at par or better • named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
2005-06: Had a fine first season at DU, playing in 10 of 11 tournaments and finishing second on the team with a 75.28 scoring average • finished second on the team with seven rounds at par or better • tied for first place at the Sun Belt Championships with rounds of 78-72-71 - 221, but lost in a sudden-death playoff to Middle Tennessee's Taryn Dunham on the second hole • recorded three top-10 finishes, including a tie for sixth at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate and a fifth place showing at the Heather Farr Memorial in the fall • shot a career-low 18-hole score of 69 in the first round of the Mountain View Collegiate in March • accomplished career-low 54-hole scores of 3-over par 219 in both the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate and the Heather Farr Memorial • named to the All-Sun Belt Conference team • named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
Before Denver: Four-year letterwinner in golf at Sandia High School • named Albuquerque Tribune/Maloof Female Golf Athlete of the Year in both 2002-03 and 2004-05 • won the New Mexico state championship last spring • named all-district in each of her four seasons and named all-state as a junior and senior • qualified for the Junior PGA Westfield Championship in 2003 and 2004 • qualified for the Women's Amateur Public Links Championship last summer.
Personal: Born March 30, 1987 in Albuquerque • daughter of Chris and Phyllis Kempter • has one sister, Victoria • two-year academic letterwinner in high school • was the drum major of the Sandia High School Marching Band in 2004-05 • chose Denver because it felt like home and she loved the mountains and the weather • would like to play golf professionally after graduating • enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and playing many different sports.
