Bradley-Doppes Holds 13th Annual Divisional Address

University of Denver Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Recreation Peg Bradley-Doppes reviewed 2015-16 and set goals for 2016-17 in her 13th Annual Divisional Address in the Gottesfeld Room of the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness on Thursday. 

Bradley-Doppes shared her annual report card during her address, recapping a 2015-16 campaign that saw Denver win its eighth DI-AAA Directors' Cup in the last nine years while also "making it our highest priority to do everything the right way, continue to improve our graduation rates and our overall competitiveness. " 


 

 

Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Partnerships Angel Field won the Second Annual Unsung Hero Award, presented to the staff member who most influences the organization behind the scenes with a positive attitude, commits true willingness to help whenever needed, sets a leadership example based on a strong work ethic and demonstrates a continuous commitment to excellence. 

Field has served the University of Denver for 13 years, working to make DU athletic events a great experience for the University of Denver's students, fans, season ticket holders, donors and those visiting campus for the very first time. Most recently, Field helped bring the Colorado Rockies, the NHL, Colorado College and DU together for the most well attended event in DU history, the "Battle on Blake". 

Associate Vice Chancellor for Sport Supervision and Internal Operations Ron Grahame won the award a year ago.

The University of Denver will officially kickoff the 2016-17 season on Friday when the women's soccer program welcomes Colorado State to CIBER Field to start the Sixth Annual Colorado Cup.
