Eriksen Named RMISA Skier of the Week

Feb. 6, 2018

DENVER – The University of Denver’s ski team has wrapped up another RMISA Skier of the Week honor, this time it’s Linn Eriksen who takes the crown after her weekend at the New Mexico Invitational.

Skiing out in Crested Butte, Colo., the senior took first in the 21-km freestyle with a run of 1:06:51. The Oslo, Norway native also took sixth in the 5-km classical with a time of 15:52.1.

Skiers of the Week are chosen using NCAA qualification points for each race. Ties are broken based on lowest combined time for the races in that discipline. Associate/non-NCAA members are not eligible. A skier can only win the award once per season.

Eriksen is the third Pioneer to win the award this season, following teammates Dag Frode Trolleboe and Andrea Komsic.

Eriksen and the rest of the Denver ski team return to action this weekend, as they host the University of Denver Invitational.
