Aasberg Takes First at RMISA Alpine Qualifier

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Denver Alpine ski team continued to ski over in Steamboat Springs on Saturday, this time for the RMISA Alpine Qualifier in the Giant Slalom.

The Pioneer skiers did not disappoint, as Kristine Aasberg took first in the women’s Giant Slalom.

DU also scored third in both men’s and women’s events thanks to Tuva Norbye (2:01.25) and Tobias Kogler (1:58.26).

Also skiing into the top-10 on the men’s side were Jett Seymour who took ninth and Alex Leever who carded 10th. For the women, Andrea Komsic also finished 10th with a total run of 2:03.31.

Completing the day for the Crimson and Gold was Tanner Farrow who placed 20th.

The Alpine team returns to RMISA Championship action tomorrow, when it looks to closeout the crown with the Nordic team.
