Pioneers Take to Loveland for First On-Snow Training Session

Oct. 26, 2017

DENVER– With winter quickly approaching, the University of Denver ski team took to the Loveland Ski Area on Tuesday to hit the snow-covered slopes for the first time this season.

Though it’s still October, the team is already preparing for the season in hopes of winning NCAA title No. 24.

Both the alpine and the nordic squads hit the mountains for training, hoping to improve on last year’s third-place finish at the national championships.

Loveland Ski Area serves as the official training facility for the 23-time NCAA champions.
