Won the 50 back for the second year in a row and finished second in the 100 back at the 2016 German Nationals…Turned in the seventh-best time of the evening session in the 100 back (1:00.94) at the 2017 Canadian Championships…Finished 12th in the 200 back (2:17.08), first in the 50 back with a meet-record 28.58, second in the 50 free (26.04), second in the 100 free (56.21), first in the 100 back (1:01.29) at the 54th Annual Mel Zajac Jr. International.

Saw action in 15 meets in the campaign…Top time for the program this year in the 50 free with an NCAA B standard 22.67 at the Summit League Championship…Also turned in the top time in the 100 free with a 48.72 at the Texas Invite…Recorded a third freestyle NCAA B Standard with a 1:46.16 at the Spring Eliminator, the top time for the program this season…Denver’s top-swimmer in the 100 back as well with a 52.92 at the Texas Invite…Fourth-best time on the team in the 200 IM with a 2:00.48 at the Texas Invite.

Qualified for the 2016 NCAA Swimming Championships in Atlanta, Ga…Reached NCAA B Standards in the 50, 100 and 200 Free, 100 and 200 Backstroke, and 200 IM…Named to the 2016 Summit League All-Academic team…Helped team win 18 of 20 events at the 2016 Summit League Championships…Helped set nine Summit League Championship records…Named to the 2016 Summit All-League team.

Named Academic All-American Honorable mention…Achieved NCAA Standards in 100 and 200 back, 100 free and 200 IM…Won gold medal at German National Championships in the 4 X 100 Free women's relay…Finished 3rd at German nationals in the 100 backstroke, qualifying her for the World…Championships in Kazan, Russia and the World University Games in South Korea.

Third at German Championships in 2012 (100 and 50 m backstroke)…Open class German Champion in her age group in 2011 (50 m backstroke)…Swam for the swimming club SG Stadtwerke München.

Born September 2, 1993 in Munich, Germany…Daughter of Dieter and Petra Roas…Has one sister, Maria…Chose Denver because she thinks it is a good place for her to excel in both academics and swimming and because she wants to learn more about Denver's culture and traditions…Also recruited by Purdue University, University of Michigan, James Madison University and University of Louisville…Hopes to win a German championship, start at the World/ European Championships and be a successful swimmer for DU…Enjoys hanging out with friends.
