INDIANAPOLIS Senior Amanda Sanders (Superior, Colo.) finished her final collegiate meet in style, earning All-America honors in the 200 breast on Saturday at the 2017 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championships at IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. Following a 2:09.57 in the prelims on Saturday morning, Sanders clocked in at 2:09.74 in the B-Final Saturday night to earn a 15th-place finish in the event.

"We are so proud to have Amanda finish her last swim after having a great career at Denver as an All-American,” head coach Brian Schrader said. “She has been great for our program, a gritty competitor and really that is what it came down to for this morning, just racing.  She has been pointing toward this and made it happen."

Junior Morgan McCormick (Golden, Colo.) turned in her third personal best of the 2017 NCAA Women’ s Swimming Championships in the 200 back prelims on Saturday morning, shaving nearly a second off of her time with a 1:52.78 to finish 19th in the 55-swimmer field. Earlier this week, McCormick also swam personal bests in the 100 back and 100 fly.

"Morgan did a nice job staying focused and breaking her races down one by one this week," Schrader said. “It’s great to see that work pay off with three personal best times at NCAAs.”

Junior Maddie Myers (Arvada, Colo.) finished 39th on Saturday in the 1650 free with a time 16:22.70.
