Myers and Farber Capture Summit League Swimmer of the Week Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. (DU/Summit League) – Senior Maddie Myers (Arvada, Colo.) and sophomore Sid Farber (Portland, Ore.) have been named Summit League Women’s and Men’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively, the league office announced on Tuesday. 

WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK 

Maddie Myers, DENVER
Sr.  // Arvada, Colo.

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the fourth time in her career, second this season
  • Won five events in two meets against Colorado Mesa and Utah
  • Touched first in the 1000 free (10:00.69 a) and then, 15 minutes later, won the 200 free (1:50.94) in contest against Utah
  • Her top time in the 1000 free currently ranks 59th in the NCAA and first in The Summit League

  • Collected his third career Swimmer of the Week award, all earned this season
  • Broke the El Pomar Natatorium record in the 50 free with a time of 19.88
  • 50 free time this weekend currently ranks second in the league, behind his own league-best time of 19.23
  • Won the 100 free with a time of 44.30
  • Holds the eighth fastest 50 free time and the 13th fastest 100 free time in the country this year

UP NEXT: Denver heads to Colorado Springs to take on Air Force Saturday at 2 p.m. MT. Due to construction on the Air Force Academy pool, the meet will take place at Colorado College.
