Denver Sweeps Third-Consecutive Summit League Swimmer of the Week Awards

ELMHURST, Ill. (DU/Summit League) – Senior Morgan Wice-Roslin (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and freshman Cy Jager (Moscow, Idaho) swept the Summit League Swimming Awards this week, the third-straight week the Pioneers have won both weekly swimming awards. 

In the national rankings this week, Denver finished its regular season ranked 23rd in the men’s CollegeSwimming.com national dual rankings and 25th in the women’s rankings. Both programs are also currently ranked No. 1 in the mid-major rankings.

  • Touched first in the 50 free finals (22.69) vs. Air Force
  • Times in the 50 free prelims, semifinals and finals were all NCAA B Standards
  • Time in the 50 free ranks first in the league and 69th nationally

CollegeSwimming.com awarded Summit League Swimmer of the Week this week to senior Morgan McCormick (Golden, Colo.) and redshirt-freshman Stephen Calkins (Calgary, Alberta).

UP NEXT: Denver’s divers will be in action this weekend at Air Force Feb. 2-3 before the men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs head to Sioux Falls, S.D. for the 2018 Summit League Championships Feb. 14-17.
