Robrock Turns In Impressive Weekend at TYR Pro Swim Series

MESA, Ariz. – University of Denver men’s swimming and diving assistant coach and former Pioneer himself Kyle Robrock (Savage, Minn.) completed a successful weekend in the TYR Pro Swim Series Event at the Skyline Aquatic Center in Mesa. Ariz. The event took place in a long course meter pool. In six events in three days, Robrock earned four top-10 finishes at the grand prix event.

Robrock’s weekend was highlighted by a fourth-place finish on the final day of competition in the 50 back, turning in a 26.55. The Denver alum also finished seventh in the 50 fly (24.52) and eighth in the 50 free (23.35) during that final day.

Denver’s assistant opened his meet with a 12th place finish in the 100 fly, reaching the wall in 55.63. Robrock followed that up with a 10th place finish in the 100 back, touching up in 57.47. In the 100 free, Robrock finished 14th with a 51.68.

The University of Denver is holding an alumni giving challenge for the 2017-2018 season in an effort to increase student-athlete alumni participation in the Denver Athletics Annual Fund. The sport with the highest percentage of alumni participation will receive an additional $10,000 of support through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
