Denver Swimming Duo Wraps Up 2017 FINA World Championships

200 Backstroke Results | 200 Breaststroke Results

BUDAPEST, Hungary Croatian international and 2017-18 Denver senior Anton Loncar (Hillsboro, Ore.) clocked in at 2:00.46 in the 200 backstroke to finish 27th and incoming freshman Adriel Sanes finished 35th in the 200 breaststroke prelims with a time of 2:20.92 in Thursday’s action at the 2017 FINA World Championships. 

The Denver duo were two of the younger competitors at the Championships this week. Sanes, who represented the U.S. Virgin Islands in Budapest, had only three swimmers his age or younger finish ahead of him on Thursday. Loncar had 10 at his age or younger reach the wall ahead of him in the 200 back.
