Denver Continues Climb in National Rankings

Dec. 4, 2017

Tennessee Invite Results | 2017-18 Schedule

DENVER - The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs both turned in impressive performances at last weekend's Tennessee Invitational, and Monday morning found 17 individual performances in the top-50 in the country this season and five relay times that have a spot in the current top-25 in 2017-18.

In addition, the new CollegeSwimming.com rankings were calculated Monday, and Denver is ranked 19th in the country on the men's side, while climbing up to 23rd this weekend on the women's side. Both the men's and women's programs are ranked No. 1 in the latest CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major rankings.

"It was a great weekend of racing for us, and I'm excited to see us put up some qualifying standards for NCAAs," head coach Brian Schrader said. "Those A cuts, Provisional cuts and school records are special performances and we don't take them for granted. I'm happy with where we are with our process and now we are setting goals and making plans to move forward with fast swimming at the Summit League and NCAAs. I saw some great competitive spirit from our team and that comes from our seniors and upperclassmen. It was infectious, and certainly fast swimming gets contagious."

Read the recaps from each day at the Tennessee Invitational (Thursday | Friday | Saturday). Denver picked up a total of 81 NCAA Standards last weekend.

Below is a list of swimmers and relays in this week's national rankings.
