Loncar Finishes Fifth in 200 Back at European Short Course Championships

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – University of Denver senior Anton Loncar (Hillsboro, Ore.) finished fifth in the men’s 200 M Backstroke Final Wednesday at the 2017 LEN European Short Course Swimming Championship.

Loncar touched the wall in 1:51.67 in the finals, missing the Croatian National Team record by 0.05 seconds. The Denver senior was seeded fifth after a prelim time of 1:51.92 on Wednesday morning.

Later this week, Loncar will swim in the 100 M Backstroke on Thursday and in the 50 M Backstroke on Friday.

UP NEXT: Denver will head back to Florida for its Winter Training Trip before capping off the trip with a quad meet at Florida Atlantic on December 20.
