Denver Quartet takes Weekly Summit League Awards

ELMHURST, Ill.(DU/Summit League)  – – Denver’s Annelyse Tullier was named Summit League Women’s Swimmer of the Week while teammate Ben Severino earned Men’s Swimmer of the Week award for their performances during the week of Dec. 12-18. Additionally, the Pioneers also swept the weekly diving awards as Sammy Walker earned Summit League Women’s Diver of the Week while teammate Jackson Martin earned the Summit League Men’s Diver of the Week award.

Annelyse Tullier, DENVER
So.  // Dallas, Texas

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career
  • Had a winning time of 1:54.49 in the 200 free
  • Earned her second event win in the 100 back with a time of 59.29

  • Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week for the second time in his career and first this season
  • Earned his first season event win in the 500 free with a time of 4:40.93
  • Finished second in the 50 breast (26.91) and 100 IM (52.58)

  • Finished the one-meter dive with a score of 255.60, placing third
  • Finished the three-meter with a 238.38, finishing fifth

In its fourth decade of Division I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of over 120,000 at nine institutions, including four located in top 60 U.S. metro populations and two land-grant universities.
