Super-Stater Tyler Bullock Signs with Denver
Carroll adds three-sport Nebraska star to 2006-07 squad
June 6, 2006
DENVER - Tyler Bullock (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln North Star High School) has signed a National Letters of Intent to attend the University of Denver and play men's basketball, head coach Terry Carroll announced.
"Tyler Bullock is the kind of fierce competitor you need to be successful in the Sun Belt," Carroll said. "He has the size of a two-guard and the skill of a point guard. Tyler has a toughness about him and brings every intangible you need to compete at the highest level. We're excited he has decided to join us and help us to continue to build DU basketball."
The Nebraska First-Team Super-Stater averaged 25.5 points, grabbed 6.7 rebounds and had 2.6 assists and 1.8 steals a game last season. He made 50.3 percent of his shots from the field and 78.3 percent of his attempts from the free-throw line.
Bullock was also a Nebraska Second-Team Super-Starter receiver and an all-state track performer finishing second in the 100-meter just a few weeks ago.
Bullock will join Nate Rohnert (Parker, Colo./Chaparral High School), Cedric Hill (Littleton, Colo./Diablo Valley College), Adam Tanner (Melbourne, Australia/Seward County Community College), Chris Timms (Birmingham, England/Marshalltown Community College) and Mykhael Lattimore (Morristown, N.J./Casper College).
Carroll also announced that current Pioneer Anthony Oliver (Fremont, Calif./Washington High School) and recent signee Roderick Adams (Cedar Hill, Texas/Collin County Community College) have left the DU program to pursue other opportunities.
