Men's Basketball Set to Embark on 10-day Trip to Spain
Pioneers will play four games during trip that features stops in Madrid, Toledo, San Sebastian, Girona and Barcelona

DENVER – The University of Denver men’s basketball team will head overseas for a special 10-day trip to Spain on Friday. The trip is set to go from August 25 to September 4 and will feature four games against local teams from the surrounding areas.
The Pioneers head to Madrid first from August 25 through August 28. DU will play in two friendly games during that time on the 27th and 28th. During that period, the Crimson and Gold will tour around the historic city and take in sights and culture of the tradition-rich town.
Denver heads off to San Sebastian from August 29 through August 31. A guided tour of the lovely city and some free time will be on deck for the Pioneers while there.
Head coach Rodney Billups and his team then make the trip to Barcelona for the final three days of the trip (September 1-4). The Crimson and Gold will play the final two games of the journey on September 1 and September 2. The last game of the trip will be held in Girona. Denver will also take in the sights and culture of the world-renowned city during its three days in Barcelona.
The Pioneers will head back home on September 4.
