Denver opens the season with a contest in Magness Arena on Nov. 12 against UC Irvine. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the women's team. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. MT for the Sunday affair.
Head coach Rodney Billups and his squad then head west 45 minutes to Boulder for a much-anticipated contest against the Colorado Buffaloes on Tuesday, Nov. 14. After another doubleheader with the women's program in which the men will take on Johnson & Wales (Nov. 16), DU will take a post-Thanksgiving trip down to Florida for three games in three days on Florida Gulf Coast's campus. Denver will face the Eagles on their home court (Nov. 24), followed by St. Francis Brooklyn (Nov. 25) and Navy (Nov. 26).
Denver returns home after that to start a four-game homestand which begins with regional foes Wyoming (Nov. 29) and Air Force (Dec. 2). DU closes out the homestand with games against San Jose State (Dec. 5) and South Carolina Upstate (Dec. 9).
Another Colorado bus trip is on tap for the Crimson and Gold on Dec. 13 with a meeting against Northern Colorado in Greeley, kicking off a three-game road swing that also includes stops at Pac-12 foe Stanford (Dec. 15) and Montana State (Dec. 18).
Following a home game against Colorado Mesa on Dec. 28, the Pioneers open up league play with a trip to Vermillion, S.D., to play South Dakota on Dec. 30. DU starts the 2018 portion of its schedule with a midday contest against Fort Wayne on Jan. 6 in Magness Arena.
