Men's Golf Ready for ASU Thunderbird Invitational

DENVER – The University of Denver men’s golf team heads to Arizona for the ASU Thunderbird Invitational this weekend. The two-day tournament will be held at the Karsten Golf Course and consist of 54 holes of play.

Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Chris Korte, Jake Kelley, Eric Hagen, Jackson Solem and John Sand.

Par for the 7,032-yard course is 71 with a stroke-play format.

The field consists of 17 teams, including five teams ranked in the top 25 of the most recent Golfweek rankings, highlighted by No. 1 Oklahoma State.

The Pioneers are coming off a 14th-place finish at the Aggie Invitational back on Apr. 8.

Korte led the way for the Pioneers, tying for 37th at that tournament.
