Pioneers Open Season with Ram Masters Invitational

FORT COLLINS
-- The University of Denver men's golf team starts its season on Monday with the Ram Masters Invitational. The two-day event kicks off with 36 holes of play at the Fort Collins Country Club on the first day of play.

Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Eric Hagen, Isaac Petersilie, Chris Korte, Jake Kelley and John Sand. The duo of Michael Boylan and Roy Kang will also will compete but as individuals.

Par for the course is 7,100-yard course is 71.

Both Korte and Petersilie are coming off very strong showings in various tournaments during the summer season. Freshman Sand is making his collegiate debut at the 54-hole tournament.


 

 

The 20-team field features such regional foes as Colorado, host Colorado State, Air Force, Northern Colorado and Wyoming.

Play is set for 36 holes on Monday followed by a final 18 on Tuesday to close out the tournament.
