2016-17: Made NCAA debut on Oct. 7 vs. OSU… Scored first career NCAA goal on Nov. 12 at UND… Registered first career multi-point game (0G-3A-3P) on Jan. 28 vs. Omaha… Recorded first career NCAA hat trick on Feb. 25 vs. SCSU (Denver’s first hat trick in almost two years)… Named NCHC Offensive Player of the Week for Jan. 23-29.

BEFORE DENVER: Tallied 17G-32A-49P in 51 games played with Vernon (BCHL) in 2015-16... Won Gold with Team Canada West at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge... Split the 2014-15 campaign with Vernon and the Penticton Vees, totaling 23G-41A-64P in 55 appearances. He was subsequently named to the BCHL’s All-Rookie Team. As a member of the British Columbia Major Midget League’s Okanagan Rockets in 2013-14, Finlay recorded 17G-34A-51P (28GP) to earn a spot on the BCMML All-Star Team. The 5’7”, 145-lb. playmaker helped lead Okanagan to a league championship in 2014, tallying 11G-4A-15P in seven playoff games for the Rockets.
