Plant Named Bauer NCHC Defenseman of the Week

Nov. 13, 2017

University of Denver Pioneers defenseman Adam Plant has been named Bauer National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Defenseman of the Week, the NCHC announced on Monday.

Plant receives the honor after recording two (2) goals, nine (9) shots and a +2 plus/minus rating in the Pioneers' weekend sweep of the St. Cloud State Huskies. The senior defenseman set a career-high with two (2) goals in Denver's 5-1 win on Saturday.

Plant has posted four (4) points (2-2-4) through 10 games this season. The Penticton, B.C. native has 35 points (8-27-35) through 132 career games. He is tied for 3rd among active NCAA players in games played.

This marks the first time Plant has been honored as Bauer NCHC Defenseman of the Week.
