Denver Repeats For The Fourth Time As BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Favorite

Three-time regular season champion Denver was picked to win the BIG EAST a fourth time.

CAREER:
Played and started in 70 games, finishing second in Denver’s DI history in games played and first in games started…Scored two goals, tallying an assist, picking up 121 ground balls and causing 41 turnovers…Tallied 3+ caused turnovers twice in his career….Tied Mike Riis for third in career caused turnovers in Denver’s DI history.

2017:
Played and started in all 17 games at close defense…Picked up 29 ground balls and caused four turnovers, including one in the NCAA Quarterfinals against Notre Dame…Scored his second career goal in Denver’s 19-6 win over Cleveland State (2/25)…Picked up multiple ground balls in 10 games, including a season-high three ground balls six times.

2016:
One of three captains for Denver…Started all 16 games for the Pioneers at close defense…Picked up 39 ground balls, good for third on the team (Baptiste and Mayle)…Picked up 4+ ground balls four times, including a season-high five in Denver’s 17-10 win over St. John’s (4/16)…Forced 12 caused turnovers…Caused multiple turnovers twice with two at Villanova (4/9) and in the BIG EAST Final against Marquette (5/7)…Tallied his first career assist in Denver’s 15-10 loss to Penn State (3/26).

2015:
Played and started all 19 games at close defense...Scored his first career goal in transition in Denver's 15-9 first round NCAA Tournament over Brown (5/10)...Tallied 25 ground balls, picking up multiple ground balls in seven games...Forced 12 caused turnovers, including seven in the NCAA Tournament.

2014:
Started in 18 games for the Pioneers, grabbing 28 ground balls and causing 13 turnovers...Tied his career-high of three ground balls two times, most recent versus Villanova (05/03/14) in the Championship game of the BIG EAST Championship...Recorded a career-high three ground balls and three caused turnovers at Penn (03/01/14).
