The University of Denver men's lacrosse program dropped a spot to third in the USILA Division I Coaches' Poll and to fourth in the Maverik Media Poll on Monday morning. The Pioneers defeated St. John's 15-6 on Saturday afternoon at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium to improve to 24-0 all-time in BIG EAST regular season play.

Denver is tied with Duke for third in the coaches' poll behind Maryland and Albany. Yale jumped three spots to rejoin the top-five this week.

Maryland, Albany and Duke are all ahead of the Pioneers in the media poll, followed once again by Yale.

The Pioneers stayed fourth in this week's Lacrosse Magazine Poll.

At halftime of an ESPNU broadcast on Saturday, the NCAA Selection Committee released its first set of rankings in 2018, putting the Pioneers sixth.

Junior attackman Austin French (Danville, Calif.) had a career-high five goals to go with an assist, senior Joe Reid (Petaluma, Calif.) put up his first hat trick and had four points, all in the first half, and senior faceoff specialist Trevor Baptiste (Denville, N.J.) finished 19-of-24 with 12 ground balls from the dot to lead the Pioneers in the victory over St .John's in-front of the 27th-straight sellout at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
