DENVER – The University of Denver men’s soccer team is ranked fourth in both the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I men’s poll and the College Soccer News Poll.

For voting purposes this week, only Denver’s 3-1 win over [23/15] Florida Gulf Coast went towards this week’s polls. Despite finishing in fourth in the coaches’ poll, Denver did receive one of the 24 first place votes, with the other 23 going to No. 1 Stanford. The Pioneers finished with 532 points in the poll, nine points behind North Carolina, who jumped Denver this week after wins over nationally ranked Providence and Rutgers.

Denver stayed put at fourth behind Stanford, Wake Forest and Maryland in the College Soccer News poll. In Top Drawer Soccer, the Pioneers checked in at sixth, and according to Soccer America, Denver will enter the second week of the regular season as the seventh ranked team in the country.

UP NEXT: The Pioneers will wrap-up a four-match homestand this weekend when Denver takes on Furman on Friday (7 p.m. MT/Altitude 2) and Drake on Sunday (7 p.m./Altitude).
