Pioneers Remain in Top 10 of Coaches' Poll

DENVER – Following wins over [16/20] Akron and Drake, and the Pioneers first loss in the regular season in 37 matches, the University of Denver men’s soccer team dropped five spots to No. 9 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches’ Poll, the association announced on Tuesday. 

Furman, who snapped the Pioneers unbeaten streak, moved up to No. 20 after wins at Denver and at Air Force. Omaha moved up four spots to No. 17. 

Denver only dropped four spots to No. 8 in this week’s College Soccer News Poll. In the Top Drawer Soccer Poll, Denver fell to 15th, while Soccer America dropped the Pioneers down to No. 13. 



UP NEXT: This weekend, the Pioneers will head to New Mexico’s annual tournament to take on UC Irvine (Sept. 8 - 4 p.m. MT) and Cal State Northridge (Sept. 10 – 12:30 p.m. MT) in Albuquerque.
