Denver Tops Omaha, 6-1

The Denver Pioneers (10-8, 4-1) won their third-consecutive match with a 6-1 victory against Omaha on Saturday in Omaha, Neb.

Denver opened the match with the doubles point, winning two of three matches. The Pioneers earned 6-3 victories from Jesse Ruder-Hook and Matt Summers at No. 1 as well as Mattia Ros and Wyatt Lovera at No. 3.

The Pioneers won five of six matches on the singles courts to secure victory. Mattia Ros dropped the first set before rallying to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 on the No. 1 court, Jesse Ruder-Hook secured a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 3, Pedro Fernandez Del Valle won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4, Eric Morris battled to win 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 5 and Sean Huynh won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6.

The Pioneers are slated to travel New Mexico on April 20 and South Dakota State on April 22 to close their season.
